Event Overview:
The Community Volunteer Day is a free event designed to engage the local community in ABSG’s humanitarian mission. The event emphasizes collaboration, social responsibility, and practical involvement in community projects. Program Description:
The event begins at 9:00 AM with registration and an orientation session. Volunteers are briefed about the day’s activities, safety measures, and the objectives of various projects. Participants receive volunteer kits, including gloves, badges, and guidance materials, to ensure a productive and safe experience.
From 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, participants engage in a community clean-up initiative around the ABSG premises and nearby areas. Volunteers work in teams to collect waste, organize recycling, and beautify shared spaces. This activity promotes environmental responsibility while cultivating teamwork and community pride.
At 11:45 AM, participants move on to a hands-on project supporting ABSG’s educational programs. Volunteers assist in sorting donated books, preparing educational materials, and organizing supplies for distribution to children. This activity highlights the tangible impact of volunteer work on children’s learning and growth.
A lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM provides volunteers with refreshments and time to socialize and network. In the afternoon, from 1:15 PM to 3:00 PM, volunteers participate in creative workshops for children. Activities include storytelling sessions, arts and crafts, and interactive games. Volunteers directly engage with children, fostering mentorship, guidance, and emotional support.
The day concludes with a reflection and recognition session from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM. Participants share experiences, insights, and lessons learned during the day.
