Event Overview:
The Health and Nutrition Awareness Day is a free educational event organized to promote healthy lifestyles among children, families, and the local community. Hosted by ABSG, the event focuses on practical guidance about nutrition, exercise, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Attendees will participate in workshops, interactive demonstrations, and informational sessions designed to improve well-being and instill lifelong healthy habits.

Program Description:
The day begins at 9:30 AM with a welcome address by the ABSG team, introducing the importance of balanced nutrition, hygiene practices, and preventive healthcare. Participants receive educational pamphlets, schedules, and small health kits containing items like hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, and basic first aid materials.

From 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, interactive workshops are conducted by nutritionists and healthcare professionals. Children and parents learn how to prepare healthy meals, identify essential nutrients, and understand the impact of diet on growth, energy, and cognitive development. Practical demonstrations include simple recipes, portion control exercises, and tips for incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables into daily meals.

At 11:45 AM, participants engage in a hygiene and wellness session focusing on handwashing techniques, oral care, and basic sanitation. Volunteers demonstrate practical exercises and games that help reinforce these concepts, ensuring that children learn healthy habits in an engaging and memorable way.

A short lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM provides attendees with nutritious snacks prepared in collaboration with local suppliers. The afternoon session, from 1:15 PM to 3:00 PM, includes physical activity demonstrations such as simple exercises, stretching routines, and fun team games that promote movement and fitness. Attendees are encouraged to participate actively, learning the importance of regular physical activity for maintaining health.

The day concludes with a Q&A session from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM, where participants can ask nutritionists and healthcare professionals questions about diet, exercise, and preventive healthcare. ABSG distributes informational resources, including guides on meal planning, hygiene, and wellness, so families can continue healthy practices at home.

Health and Nutrition Awareness Day exemplifies ABSG’s commitment to holistic development. By educating children and families on the foundations of health, the association ensures that its community not only survives but thrives. Participants leave with practical knowledge, confidence, and motivation to make informed choices that enhance well-being.
